Tornadoes touched down in at least two counties in the CBS 42 viewing area on Thursday evening. According to the National Weather Service, a tornado touched down shortly after 7:00 P.M. near Fox Valley Road in Shelby County. Debris was reported flying through the air. ALABASTER, Ala. (AP) — Shelby County Emergency Management Agency reports a tornado has touched down in Alabaster. Mindy Nash of the EMA says the touchdown was reported on Shelby County 17 and 1st Avenue in Alabaster near Stoney Meadows subdivision.
