www.SevereWeatherVideo.com ©2007 Scott McPartland Dave and I started the day in Pratt, KS and as it turned out, Jason Pollite, a good chaser friend of ours was staying at the same motel as us. We hung around in Pratt for several hours gathering data when we finally made the decision to head a bit north and west to try and intercept storms that were firing up to our southwest. The storms were moving at 45-55mph on this day, so keeping up with them was a very difficult task to say the least! To sum it up, Dave and I intercepted several brief tornadoes near the towns of Stafford, KS & Great Bend, KS. Just trying to stay ahead of these things wiped us out. We literally were able to stop for like a minute at the most, before we had to get back on the road again to reposition. That was the story of the day, we were constantly repositioning. No time to set up tripods and what not, just shoot video for a minute, and then head on down the road. All in all though, it was an excellent chase day! Hope you enjoy the video, and please rate, comment and subscribe if you have a few moments. Thanks!! Scott McPartland

i heard from Wikipedia that Dish Network would be doing the EAS thing that Cable is already doing starting May 31, 2007. so i got the EAS ogg files off of Wikipedia and then converted them and then i used that AT& T Natural Voices site to get the voice over, since i didn't want to do the voice myself. and also i search on Yahoo.com to get a Dish Network logo to put on this video. i edited this with Windows Movie Maker. i did this to kill time, and at the same time to tell people who have Dish Network (just like me) that this will happen when the EAS activated for weather and amber alerts. this is a mockup of an EAS for a tornado warning. for a example your watching “ESPN Sportscenter” when out of nowhere the EAS goes off and screws up your tv show that you are watching. get ready people with Dish Network. this will happen on a regular basis. for the weather bulletin or amber alert. the one alert type i pick to do this is an tornado warning. Due to chain letters and porn cam site spammers I have no choice but to make further comments posted approve by me first before it's posted. to make your own mock up using the voice to speech audio, here's a link to two of the best ones. AT&T Natural Voices (demo site): www.research.att.com Nuance Realspeak (Demo, requires you to sign up/sign in to use it.): 212.8.184.250

Test of an ACA P-50 (also known as ASC T-135AC). It is owned and controlled by Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office of Emergency Management. The test is comprised of 1 minute each of alert and attack signals. This is the second time I've recorded this siren because I wanted to record it in stereo with my Canon S5IS.
